Job Description
This is one of a few brand new roles with an exciting and genuinely unique technology start-up company in Cheltenham. They are looking secure a Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of development of CAD, prototyping and mechanical testing for their range of products.
The company develop telecommunications and monitoring devices for harsh environments across the globe.
It's an extremely 'hands-on' position which will involve producing CAD, rapid prototyping, testing and some mentoring of Junior Engineers.
ROLE: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION: Cheltenham
SALARY: ~ £70,000 (+ Equity)
Responsibilities
Essential skills for the Senior Mechanical Engineer are:
* 3D CAD (any package considered) for products in harsh environment
* Hands-on prototyping and testing in fast-paced environment
* Material, joinery, sealing selections
* Integration with software & electronics teams
* Thermal and non-destructive testing
* Solid understanding of Project Lifecycle
Any experience with the following are beneficial
* Design for cold / subsea / downhole tools
* Analysis / Simulation skills
