Software Engineer – Risk Analytics
£60K - £70K + Bens
A small multi-strategy investment firm in the City is looking for a Software Engineer to join their risk technology team.
This platform is used extensively across the firm by several teams enabling superior risk selection for their portfolios.
You will be part of a collaborative, high-performing team that values problem-solving, clean code, and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have a couple of years post-grad experience from a finance / investment / front-office type environment.
You will take ownership of projects from the start, giving you the freedom to innovate and be responsible for the solutions that you create.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and desire to deliver results. You will be curious about the nature of the business we operate in, and eager to collaborate with the rest of the team to drive innovation.
The Role
* Designing and building performing, scalable risk analytics platforms that operate at scale
* Contributing across the full development lifecycle - from architecture and design through to deployment and optimisation
* Ensuring robustness through high test coverage, automation, and best-in-class design patterns
The Person
* 1 - 3yrs post-graduate experience gained in a finance / investment / front-office type environment
* Strong OO - C#/.Net preferably but Java or Python will also be considered
* Strong SQL (preferably T-SQL)
* A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
* Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar academic background
