Job Purpose
The Electrical Project Engineer will support the Electrical Project team by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to progress ongoing package delivery and take ownership of new small packages of work from procurement through to delivery. They will coordinate design and delivery schedules, liaise with manufacturers and subcontractors, prepare essential documentation (BOQ, Schedule of Activities, RFQ, design packs), and work with the construction team to co‑ordinate delivery works. The role reports to the Electrical Project Manager and is based in the Greater Manchester office.
Key Activities
 * Coordinate design and delivery schedules.
 o Undertake technical evaluation.
 o Ensure correct specifications, quantities, and materials.
 o Manage TQs and change requests.
 o Document review and approval.
 * Liaise with manufacturers to progress detailed design and equipment delivery.
 * Liaise with subcontractors to understand challenges and prepare for equipment delivery and installation.
 * Produce project documentation such as BOQ, Schedule of Activities, RFQ document preparation, and design packs.
 * Work with construction teams to co‑ordinate delivery works.
 * Liaise with vendors:
 o Ensure information transfer follows schedule.
 o Undertake weekly/monthly reviews of vendor scope.
 o Manage TQs, clarifications, change requests.
 o Document review and approval.
 o Undertake QAQC reviews.
 * Liaise with construction project team:
 o Work closely with clients' contractors to ensure project specifications are met and maintain effective communication.
 o Ensure vendor information is available.
 o Provide TQ review.
 o Provide regular reporting on package progress.
 o Raise risks for action where necessary.
 o Manage delivery per project requirements.
Requirements
Key skills and experience:
 * Relevant delivery experience in a project setting.
 * Experience with industrial design and construction.
 * Able to read and understand electrical documentation, including schematic diagrams, SLDs, and load schedules.
 * Awareness of typical electrical infrastructure.
 * Experience working to UK standards and regulations.
 * HNC qualification as a minimum.
Desirable
 * Experience working in dispersed international teams.
 * UK site construction experience.
