As a Project Support Officer in the Financial Inclusion team, you will support the development of innovative partnership-based projects to address financial exclusion and poverty in Leeds. This temporary role lasts for 12 months and involves working across council services and with external organizations to achieve positive outcomes for the community.
The role's purpose is to assist with policies, strategies, projects, and initiatives aimed at tackling poverty, financial inclusion, food insecurity, and gambling harms. The post involves liaising with government departments, local authorities, and building a strong evidence base for the team's work. You will report to the Senior Policy Development Officer within the Financial Inclusion Team.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate Financial Inclusion projects across Leeds City Council and partner organizations.
2. Support the delivery of projects aligned with the Best City Ambition.
3. Prepare reports, publicity materials, and assist in developing documents for diverse audiences.
4. Assist senior colleagues in project delivery and provide progress updates.
5. Develop and manage monitoring, evaluation, and reporting frameworks.
6. Produce high-quality reports and statistical information.
7. Manage financial processes including raising orders and monitoring budgets.
8. Manage team email accounts, social media, and website content.
9. Organize meetings and events related to Financial Inclusion.
10. Research, analyze, and present information effectively.
11. Build relationships within the council and with external partners.
12. Represent the service at meetings and undertake related work.
13. Support training and awareness sessions on Financial Inclusion.
14. Contribute to policy and service development within the team.
15. Participate in team meetings and supervision sessions.
