Our client is looking for Pickers and Packers for a local company based in Peterborough.
Hours are Monday to Friday 14.30-22.30pm.
Job purpose
To assist in the overall production and dispatch of customer's orders.
To provide accurate and prompt packing of goods in line with
the orders. The job also includes other general duties to maintain the efficient working of the Warehouse.
Key duties and responsibilities
* This role will involve handling products and putting items into boxes.
* Help rework stock.
* Make sure the products are put onto the edge of the packaging.
* Must be able to pack 12 products per minute.
* Filling up boxes.
* Putting boxes onto lines.
* General housekeeping.
* To report any problems or issues immediately to line manager.
* Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turn-round targets and
using suitable packaging products.
* Keep warehouse and outside forecourts clean and tidy, keeping gangways
clear.
* To observe and comply with high levels of Health and safety.
* To be adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
Experience Required
Qualifications include:
• Fit for active work in a Warehouse setting.
• Require attention to detail.
• Good standards of numeracy.
• Basic computer skills.
• Understand and apply Health and Safety Regulations.
Physical requirements
This role requires working in temperatures of 4 degrees and wear gloves with warm clothing.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time and/or moving some considerable distance on a daily basis on a hard surface.
* Ability to complete repetitive tasks.
