Job Description

Challenge, support, and inspire all learners to achieve the best possible outcomes through the development and delivery of an innovative and creative curriculum. This role aims to promote, deliver, and integrate the key objectives outlined in the Education Plan and the Community Plan.


Requirements

The duties of this position involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member regarding Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal employment offer is made by East Ayrshire Council.

Note: PVG records are regularly updated. Any relevant information disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record or Record Update will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment confirmation.


Responsibilities

We adhere to national guidance on pre-employment checks, namely “Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment”. During your application, you should provide details of at least two relevant references, one from your current or most recent employer, with the latter being from an appropriate senior manager. References from peers at the same level are not acceptable.

The Individual

This is a permanent part-time position based at Park School, Kilmarnock. The working hours are 14 hours per week, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, 08:45 - 15:35.

The full-time salary range is £40,305 - £50,589 per annum. The part-time salary range is £16,121 - £20,235 per annum.
