You will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and lifecycle support of test equipment at board, sub-system, and system level. The role Create test solutions - Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems Lead and support hardware/software integration and troubleshooting Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop robust, scalable test solutions Lead design reviews and documentation to the highest standards Experience Test development experience – creating test solutions, not just running test programmes Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design. Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation. Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production. Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills. Able to support/debug system integration Test software design experience. Desirable Experience Use of Mentor Graphics schematic entry and PCB layout tools. Understanding of common test architectures PXI/d LXI Measurement Uncertainty and its application in test equipment design and validation Software Certification or detailed knowledge of: NI LabView, NI CVI, NI TestStand, C# Design of mix signal circuits To be eligible for this role you will need to undergo BPSS clearance which requires 3 years UK residency and references. This role is working in a Test Lab so onsite working is required. Working a condensed week, working full-time hours across 4 days (Monday to Thursday), giving you a long 3-day weekend.
