The Role
Are you passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred care to older adults? University Hospital Wishaw is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic healthcare professionals to join our new dynamic Frailty Unit.
Our Frailty Unit provides specialist multidisciplinary care for older people living with frailty, focusing on early assessment, rehabilitation, and safe discharge planning whilst applying home first principles. We are proud to offer a supportive and innovative environment where staff are empowered to make a real difference in patients’ lives. You will work within a collaborative team, benefit from ongoing professional development, and contribute to service improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes.
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.
You will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and may also supervise registered and unregistered staff, as well as student nurses, demonstrating procedures as needed.
Full and part time hours will be considered.

What we'll need you to bring
* Registered Nurse with valid UK NMC Registration
* You will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using your own initiative
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
