The Role
The role of the Private Client Solicitor is to broaden the range of legal services we can provide to clients, supporting, advising and guiding clients through the Probate process.
Coordinate the collecting in or transferring of Estate assets; including the payment of all liabilities and Inheritance Tax (IHT) and then distributing the net estate to the beneficiaries of the Will (or to the next of kin if there is no Will).
Provision of client advice on Lifetime and Estate Planning, Will Writing, Trust Drafting/Administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Key Contributions and Outputs
Undertaking a broad range of Private Client legal work, to include Probate, Will drafting, Trust administration and the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorneys
Maintain strong relationships with Financial Advisers including initial meetings with executors.
Meeting with Clients to discuss their legal issues and ensuring that all Client requirements are followed through to the appropriate conclusion
Contribute as a fee earner with agreed goals that work to the practice achieving its financial objectives.
Ongoing development & training of paralegals & legal administrators so they meet their individual development goals.
Maintaining up to date records, communications & documents relating to individual cases on the provided technical/CRM systems
Managing an ongoing review service appropriate to the Clients needs in line with the businesss proposition offering
Supporting the acquisition of new clients to ensure that company targets are achieved along with the maintenance of our current client base
Ensure that any business conducted is done so in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.
Promote the profile of the business within the profession and wider communities
Develop and maintain Client relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed targets

Responsibilities:
The role holder will keep up to date with legislative and industry changes which affect the business, its clients and the role of the in-Probate Consultant within the business.
The role holder may from time to time be required to undertake reasonable additional or other duties as are necessary to meet the needs of the business.
General Responsibilities
Comply with SRA rules at all times.
Comply with the relevant Compliance, TCF, T&C (TRH Learning and Development Scheme), financial crime and Anti-Money Laundering Procedures of the Company at all times.
Keep up to date with all relevant product, legislative and technical changes, as required.
Follow appropriate ethical standards within the firm at all times.

Admitted to the role & current Practising Certificate
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
A detailed understanding and experience of understanding, interpreting and putting into practice processes and procedures to ensure compliance with SRA rules and regulations.
Meet the requirements of the SRAs Assessment of Character and Suitability Rules.
Familiarity with key processes within Trust administration.
Self-motivated and able to balance short-term and long-term priorities effectively, while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Driven to provide excellent levels of service to internal and external clients.
Previous mentoring/supervisory experience.
Experience of partnering with IFAs is desirable.
