English Teacher – Secondary SEND
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our brand‑new school, River Valley, based in Sheffield.
As an English Teacher, your day will be varied, purposeful, and deeply rewarding. You will follow a flexible structure while delivering inspiring and accessible English lessons to Secondary-aged SEND learners. You will design bespoke, therapeutic educational frameworks that build confidence in reading, writing, communication, and creativity—tailored to each young person’s individual needs.
You will work within a Trauma‑Informed Practice model, supported by our therapeutic approaches. Our schools have proudly been awarded the Attachment and Trauma Sensitive School Award, recognising our commitment to safe, relational, and nurturing practice.
In return, we will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to join a growing and developing organisation during an exciting period of transformation. You will receive training in Pro-active Approaches and ongoing support for your professional development aspirations.
Many of our young people have experienced disrupted education and inconsistent adult relationships. We are seeking committed and resilient teachers who want to build meaningful, long‑term progress within a therapeutic, alternative education environment.
