Service Engineer/Service Technician / Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a Service Engineer/Service Technician / Maintenance Engineer to join a leading, global engineering manufacturer.
The role involves providing electrical and mechanical repair, service, maintenance, commissioning, calibration, fault finding, and on-site support for a range of industrial power tools, focusing on bolting, material handling, and fastening solutions such as wrenches, drills, torque guns, and precision tooling.
This position is primarily based at the workshop near Preston, with travel to customer sites across the UK as required.
The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering products and a willingness to learn new products.

Role Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance and repair on industrial power tools, especially bolting, material handling, and fastening solutions including wrenches, drills, torque guns, and associated tooling.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, providing effective repair solutions.
* Calibrate, commission, and offer on-site support for bolting and fastening systems.
* Maintain service records and report on power tool performance and repairs.
* Coordinate with various engineering departments.
* Based at the workshop near Preston with regular field service across the UK.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience as a Service Technician, Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar within industrial products.
* Proven diagnostic skills on electrical and mechanical systems.
* Hands-on experience with power tools, pneumatic tools, electric motors, hydraulics, automation, robotics, or instrumentation; full training provided.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and repair skills are a plus.
* Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent (e.g., HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3) is advantageous.
* Full clean UK driving license.
* Willingness to travel UK-wide as required.
