Position Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for an Import Administrator to join our Supply Chain team based out of our Bedesway Offices here in South Shields. The will be a temporary role covering a maternity leave. This role will be key to providing day to day administration support within a small team; ensuring shipping documentation, ASN’s and the freight partners are aligned with the 3PL partner to ensure the smooth flow of inbound goods, inbound forecast planning, and providing customs clearance information to freight partners. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor inbound consignments, through direct communication with the freight agent together with the use of the freight agents portal. Maintain and save shipment documents in the public folder ASN preparation, validation and processing (For both UK and NL warehouses) to ensure receiving information is available prior to the goods being delivered. Maintain and update arrival dates within the ERP system Maintain the inhouse NL delivery schedule to monitor inbound goods Prepare a 1 week intake forecast, by day, for the coming week Prepare weekly 13 week intake forecast to assist the NL 3PL partner to resource accordingly Prepare a 6 week intake forecast for the UK Bedesway warehouse Work with the various inbound freight partners to ensure goods arrive as planned. Provide customs clearance information to the freight agents, when required Deal with varied queries from the freight agents, warehouse and supply chain department. Communicate with the QC team and the 3PL on upcoming and ongoing stock checks and actions needed Other department duties which maybe required from time to time Skills and Experience: Administration Experience in a fast paced environment GCSE English and Mathematics Microsoft Office Familiar with the use of an ERP system Accurate data entry skills Excellent attention to detail Excellent Excel skills Positive "Can Do" attitude Personable Team player Hard Worker Reliable Organised Quick Learner Listens, and wants to be the best they can be Desirable: Experience of working within an Import department Ability to read and understand a customs entry Commodity code classification process Additional information: This will be based at our Bedesway Offices in South Shields.
