An opportunity has arisen for an Electrician to join a contractor company, where you will travel to various locations around the UK. The Electrician will support with electrical installations in both commercial and domestic properties, including call-outs, power installations, lighting upgrades, electrical testing and planned maintenance, etc. You must have a full UK driving licence to apply for this role. Job Description for the Electrician: Attend service and reactive breakdowns to carry out fault finding, diagnose and repair in a timely manner Carry out day-to-day responsive maintenance, servicing, and repairs as instructed Assess repair needs on-site and make immediate decisions if the original job order does not reflect the actual work required, informing the relevant director accordingly. Notify the customer if a repair cannot be completed on the first visit, arrange a mutually agreed return date, and inform the relevant director. Liaise with management and/or client to ensure all works are completed Ensure that all works and repairs are completed safely in line with current practices Ensure a best value and cost-effective approach when purchasing materials Requirements for the Electrician role: Minimum of 5 years’ site experience in completing electrical installations Must have commercial and domestic experience Excellent knowledge of BS 7671 – IET Wiring Regulations City & Guilds BS7671:2018 Level 3 - Electrical Installations City & Guilds 2391 (2391-52) - Testing and Inspecting (previously 2394/2395) Full UK clean driving licence Be part of the emergency call-out team on a rota basis Must be able to travel across the UK and work additional hours when needed Must be able to complete a DBS certificate It is commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Kidderminster, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley, West Midlands Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 on-call and overtime payments Benefits: Review after probationary period Paid door to door, less 30 minutes travel and 1 hour lunch per day Overtime at time and half OOH Call out rota – 1 in 6-8 weeks paid £100 standby, attended call out 1st hour £40 additional hrs @ time and half 23 days annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays NEST pension scheme VITALITY company health scheme Company Vehicle (commercial) with Fuel Card & M6 Tag Company Phone Company expense card Power tools Company/corporate clothing, boots allowance and PPE Brampton Recruitment is an independent Commercial and Accounts & Finance recruitment agency working in partnership with employers spanning Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and the Greater Manchester region.
