Our employment law, tax, and payroll specialists offer comprehensive legal and financial consulting to ensure compliance with employment laws and tax regulations. They work closely with clients on employment contracts, employee benefits, payroll taxes, and legal risk mitigation.
The Employment Tax, Incentives and Payroll (ETIP) team, part of our wider Tax and Legal practice, advises on employment-based regulations across various sectors, including UK-listed and private companies. Responsibilities include:
1. Advising on employment taxes and social security compliance for UK remuneration packages.
2. Providing international employment tax advice, including global coordination.
3. Guiding clients on compliance with UK employment laws such as minimum wage and holiday pay.
4. Assisting with benefit structures like salary sacrifice arrangements.
5. Advising on off-payroll worker engagement and governance.
6. Supporting clients with the Construction Industry Scheme.
7. Building internal governance structures for employment tax management.
8. Handling HMRC enquiries and disclosures.
9. Managing client relationships, risk processes, and billing.
10. Training junior team members.
Qualifications and skills required include experience in employment taxes, relevant professional qualifications (desirable), time management, communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and strong report writing abilities.
