Forklift Driver
Location: Colchester, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday, day shifts (typically 08:30 - 17:00)
Pay: £13.50 - £14.00ph (experience dependant)
Prime Appointments are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence for a busy warehouse in Colchester, Essex.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability the right candidate.
This is a varied role combining forklift work, general warehouse duties, and occasional 3.5-tonne van driving, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
Duties of the Forklift Driver:
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift to load, unload, and move stock
General warehouse duties, including unloading containers
Booking stock in and organising goods within the warehouse
Using the in-house CRM system to track stock movements and maintain accurate records
Occasional local deliveries using a 3.5t company van
What we're looking for in a Forklift Driver:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence (essential)
Full UK driving licence
Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
Able to work independently and use your own initiative
Previous logistics distribution and supply chain experience preferred
Basic IT confidence for internal systems
Pay & Hours:
£13.50 - £14.00 per hour (experience dependant)
Monday to Friday, day shifts (typically 08:30 - 17:00)
Temporary to permanent opportunity for the right person
