Are you a compassionate and creative Science Teacher looking to make a real difference?
The Education Network is working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive medical needs school to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher who can inspire and support learners who are unable to access mainstream education due to physical or mental health needs.
About the Role: This unique and rewarding position involves delivering engaging, accessible Science lessons to small groups of students (KS3), many of whom may be experiencing anxiety, long-term medical conditions, or other barriers to learning.
* Plan and deliver differentiated Science lessons in line with national curriculum expectations
* Support pupils with a range of medical and emotional needs, adapting your teaching approach accordingly
* Foster a calm, inclusive and respectful learning environment
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including pastoral staff, medical professionals and families
* Contribute to EHCP targets, personalised learning plans and progress monitoring
You Will Need:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
* Experience teaching Science at KS3 and/or KS4
* A nurturing, patient and flexible approach
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* An understanding of SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision is highly desirable
