Reporting to the Head of People Operations & Experience, the People Operations Lead is a key member of the People Operations & Experience management team.
The role encompasses managing the end-to-end employee journey within C4, focusing on creating an engaging employee experience.
This role involves relationship management with key service contracts, establishing, improving, and embedding people processes and policies across the organization to make C4 the best place to work.
While the role is operationally hands-on, it also supports strategic initiatives in the People department, requiring experience in gap analysis, process reengineering, and implementing improvements and solutions.
The role manages a team of 4 People Operations Assistants.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure HR Operations has robust governance and processes, maintaining accurate and consistent data within our HR system, 4People.
2. Maintain high standards in employee lifecycle processes, ensuring accurate data collection in line with GDPR.
3. Regularly review employee lifecycle processes to identify and address gaps.
4. Document all People Operations processes in process map format with supporting guidance.
5. Manage SLAs with internal and external service providers (Query handling, Payroll, Occupational Health, etc.).
6. Attend meetings with service providers to ensure smooth service delivery.
7. Produce monthly and quarterly KPIs and metrics reports for leadership review.
8. Conduct periodic data audits in 4People and address gaps promptly.
9. Develop a service-driven approach that delivers self-service options and high-quality user experience, managing high-volume transactions efficiently.
10. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve customer issues and improve processes.
11. Work with the Manager, People Systems to implement new processes and improve system usability.
12. Ensure HR policies comply with the Policy Framework, working with Diversity and Inclusion teams and Employee Reps.
13. Prepare accurate payroll documentation for the outsourced payroll provider.
14. Coordinate with Benefits and Pensions Manager for seamless payroll data flow.
15. Support audits related to People Operations.
16. Lead and develop the People Ops team to align resources with business needs.
17. Implement best practices in employee recognition and wellbeing programs.
18. Work with the People Partnering team to establish a service catalog.
19. Develop disaster recovery plans for People Operations suppliers and internal services.
20. Coach team members to foster growth and knowledge sharing.
21. Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers.
22. Anticipate future needs and proactively develop strategies to address upcoming challenges.
