Purpose:
To proactively manage the costing within MBIL manufacturing. By benchmarking of factories and suppliers ensure the most cost-effective prices are negotiated and agreed without impacting on existing relationships, quality or efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Request cost prices and cost sheets to factories.
Analyse cost sheets and challenge factories in case of cost or consumption discrepancies / inconsistencies.
Request prices to material suppliers, negotiate them and log them in PLM system.
Proactively look for opportunities for cost saving across factories before and after market – with the support of Head of Product and Footwear Technician.
Provide target costs to Product Development for materials / accessories.
Track historical costs for carryover materials and styles.
Work closely with the Pricing Analyst.
Work closely with factories and suppliers.
Manage costs in PLM and ERP systems and verify data integrity.
Any other tasks as requested.
Skills and Experience Required:
Fluent spoken and written Italian and English is required.
Technical knowledge of luxury footwear is preferable (ideally women's and men's).
Knowledge of materials in relation to features, benefits and pricing.
Excellent Commercial awareness and business acumen.
Ability to prioritise tasks, and ensure delivery of results within tight deadlines.
Excellent numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Excel.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Network: Ability to build relationships and network easily, both internally and externally.
