As an Operations and Involvement Manager you will work alongside the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances to manage the mobilisation, implementation and contractual support on behalf of Synergy VCSE Mental Health Alliance. This will involve elements of quality assurance & compliance, reporting, project mobilisation, performance and service improvement. Working alongside the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances, you will maintain and develop purposeful and managed partner relationships across all existing Alliance members and nurture growth and inclusion of other VCSE organisations across Sheffield.
You will lead on delivering the co-production objectives within the programme plan. This will include supporting a group of experts by experience to be involved as equal partners in any associated workstreams within Synergy. You will facilitate shared consideration and decisions about mental health service and system change through a range of methods, bringing in insights from citizens.

Service/Team Description
Overview of the service or team:
Rethink Mental Illness [RMI] is a mental health charity working for the maximum quality of life for people affected by mental illness.
We [RMI] are working with citizens, the NHS, councils and other charities and community organisations in places around England to transform community mental health services and build communities that care around people affected by mental illness.
Synergy is an alliance of Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations working together across Sheffield to support individuals with a range of mental health needs. Rethink Mental Illness are the Lead Accountable Body and responsible for the oversight and management of Synergy.
We are working together to improve the way people in Sheffield receive support with their mental health, by providing access to a number of specialist and holistic services, and by changing the way that support is offered and provided. We are working to change the culture and language associated with traditional mental health provision and believe that by working collaboratively in new and innovative ways we can support people together to achieve a better quality of life.
As the Lead Accountable Body (LAB) for Synergy, we are responsible for the day to day management and relationship management of Synergy. Working closely with members of the Synergy Partnership Board, Primary Care Sheffield and the Rethink Central Alliance Team to deliver against Synergy’s strategy and delivering projects in an efficient and timely manner.

* I help manage the Synergy operational contractual support to ensure LAB fulfils it’s responsibility for contract management, compliance, quality assurance and reporting across all Synergy delivery.
* Provide project management and support, including mobilisation of projects, new contract delivery and development of systems and processes
* I support and facilitate the LAB mobilisation of new service delivery and delegate actions across my and the wider Rethink team to enable successful implementation of services.
* I support the development and roll out of system and process change to mirror business need, whilst maintaining and nurturing positive delivery relationships across the Alliance.
* I assist in the planning and distribution of communications to Synergy alliance members.
* I plan and monitor workload to ensure that ongoing tasks are completed, development work is delivered, and capacity is available to support service performance responsively.
* I support work to develop relevant Synergy ICT/Data needs to ensure system access, compliance, risk management and robust reporting outcomes are achieved
* I ensure the development of consistent and achievable contractual KPI’s and effective monitoring systems across all Alliance member reporting platforms.
* I support and help analyse a range of information sources, including audits, reviews or complaints and work with colleagues to develop and implement monitoring for improving quality
* I provide support to develop a reporting system that is fully representative of all agreed KPI’s and Impact measures to accurately evidence and ensure performance outcomes are achieved/exceeded.
* I work with colleagues in our Evidence & Impact team to exchange information regarding Quality, Performance and Outcomes to inform service delivery and provide external partners with information.
* I maintain and achieve all Internal Audit Standards as LAB and undertake due diligence to ensure Partner and subcontracting arrangements remain compliant and adhere to appropriate policies and procedures
* I ensure the smooth operational reporting of all associated delivery workstream and projects, providing a 360’ monthly reporting structure to maintain performance, actions and service improvement across the alliance partnership.
* I ensure all associated LAB meetings are planned, coordinated and managed effectively, ensuring available resource to support pre-planning, collation of reports and note taking at meetings.
* I build new relationships with a host of partner agencies.
* I work in an integrated way with all partner organisations, to deliver an effective project resulting in provision that is in line with Synergy’s strategic priorities.
* I report on all activities to the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances, making suggestions for improvements.
* I travel across location to settings as required and work flexibly if that’s what the programme requires.
* I ensure I share my learning and experiences with colleagues across the charity to influence our ways of working.
* I establish and maintain links with other services/projects to ensure awareness and knowledge, promoting partnership working.
* Provide deputisation for the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Alliance at internal and external meetings as required.
* Ensure the voice of lived experience is embedded within all service developments, workstreams and operational processes.
* Support and develop expert by experience leaders in their role to ensure it is a positive experience which builds on their strengths and helps them to achieve personal goals.
* Champion the value of lived experience in co-design, co-implementation, co-evaluation, and co-delivery.
* Keep abreast of policy and research developments that impact on these areas of work.
* I work collaboratively with external organisations, internal colleagues and with people who use our services to identify best practice and contribute to design of service improvement activity.

* Knowledge of Sheffield mental health systems.

* Experience in managing and maintaining strong working partner relationships in a VCSE environment.
