To provide a high-quality, reliable, and efficient electrical engineering service for West Middlesex Hospital. The role includes maintenance, repair, testing, and installation of electrical systems across the hospital estate, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda), and NHS standards. The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in ensuring patient and staff safety by maintaining critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on electrical systems, including:
Lighting and power systems
Fire alarms
Emergency lighting
Nurse call systems
Backup power (generators and UPS)
Building management systems (BMS)
Medical electrical installations (where competent)
Undertake fault-finding and diagnostics on complex electrical systems.
Carry out electrical installation work in accordance with IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Ensure all work is compliant with HTM 06-01 and other relevant NHS Estates guidelines.
Assist in testing and commissioning of new electrical equipment or systems.
Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken using CAFM (Computer-Aided Facilities Management) systems.
Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota for emergency callouts.
Support compliance with health & safety, infection control, and risk assessments.
Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and internal departments as needed.
Contribute to energy-saving initiatives and sustainability goals within the Trust
