General Manager

Neu-Servo Repairs Ltd is a specialist provider of industrial automation repair services, supporting a wide range of manufacturing and engineering industries including some of the worlds biggest manufacturers. Due to a retirement we are seeking an experienced and highly capable General Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure the highest standards of customer service, and drive continued business efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates on repair progress, delivery schedules, and technical support.
* Manage the procurement of parts from multiple suppliers to ensure timely completion of repair projects.
* Co-ordinate and oversee the transport team to optimise logistics and delivery performance.
* Respond to customer enquiries, providing accurate and professional technical assistance.
* Prepare and issue detailed written quotations for repair and service work.
* Maintain and monitor the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
* Manage and update the company's Health & Safety system in line with regulatory requirements.
* Liaise with suppliers to maintain effective working relationships and secure cost-effective procurement.
* Participate in the company's out-of-hours call handling rota (1 weekday evening per week and 1 weekend in every 4).
Candidate Requirements
* Proven management experience within an engineering, technical services, or industrial repair environment.
* Strong organisational, planning, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Technical knowledge of motors, gearboxes, or comparable mechanical/electrical equipment (preferred training will be provided).
* Experience in maintaining ISO 9001 and Health & Safety management systems.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both customers and suppliers.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general business administration systems.
* Experienced in using job management systems.
* Experience in leading a team of individuals.
* Friendly and approachable that likes working in a team environment.
