Pay Rate: £40.48 per hour (Inside IR35)
Work Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week | 5 Days Per Week
Role Overview:
Envisage is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Senior Specialist to join our Chassis & BIW department. As a P4 level Specialist Professional, you will serve as a recognized subject matter expert, managing large-scale procurement projects and complex processes with minimal oversight. You will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for both Direct and Indirect operations, ensuring the seamless acquisition of goods and services essential to manufacturing and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Sourcing & Execution: Lead product/service sourcing and supplier selection processes for Direct (raw materials, production services) and Indirect (IT, travel, facilities, MRO) operations.
• Negotiation & Contract Management: Drive high-stakes negotiations regarding pricing, terms, and conditions. Oversee contract administration to ensure compliance and value protection.
• Supplier Performance: Manage and monitor supplier performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Leadership & Coaching: Act as a mentor to lower-level procurement professionals, reviewing work and delegating tasks to ensure departmental efficiency.
• Process Management: Oversee complex procurement projects, solving difficult problems related to supply chain disruptions, cost overruns, or technical specifications.
• Operational Support: Handle order processing and ensure alignment with the broader Chassis & BIW department objectives.
Required Skills & Keywords:
• Core Procurement: Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Contract Negotiation, RFx Management (RFI/RFQ/RFP).
• Operational Expertise: Direct & Indirect Procurement, Category Management, Cost Analysis, Order Processing.
• Project Management: Lifecycle Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Risk Mitigation, P4 Grade Project Oversight.
• Systems & Tools: ERP software (SAP/Oracle), eSourcing tools, Advanced Excel, Data Analytics.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of Chassis & BIW components, Raw Materials, and Manufacturing services.
Education & Experience:
• Advanced education (Degree or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Subject Matter Expert in a high-volume manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Experience in coaching and delegating to junior staff.
