Due to growth, a successful business services group of companies in Cardiff are recruiting for a Senior Finance Assistant on a permanent basis.

Working closely with the Head of Finance, this is a busy role and an important appointment which is responsible for daily transactional duties of several distinct companies as well weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
Senior Finance Assistant duties
Process Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger invoices across several different companies on a daily basis.
Reconcile multiple bank accounts for different companies, ensure funds are held in correct account.
Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and ensure they remain accurate.
Make supplier payments for all companies as required
Chase outstanding debts.
Responsible for production of weekly debt reports.
Reconcile income, calculate vendor payments, charges and fees and raise relevant invoices and make payments.
Monthly reporting on income and invoicing and salary costs.
Monthly Inter-company reconciliation
Assist with VAT Returns for companies across the Group.
Senior Finance Assistant Person Specification
Demonstrable experience in a similar Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Bookkeeper type role.
Excellent IT skills, being a confident user of Microsoft Excel.
Experience of working with a recognised Accounting software system, with Xero being preferred.
Able to work autonomously.
Experience of working for an SME business.
A varied and busy role, would suit someone who is able to work independently with the ability to communicate with senior colleagues and external clients. Applicants will have experience working as a Senior Finance Assistant, Accounts Manager or Bookkeeper.
