HWRC Operative (Full & Part Time)
Salary – £12.21 per hour
Hours – Part Time, 16 hours per week & Full Time - 45 hours per week - 07.45Am- 17.15PM
Location – Dix Pit, Oxfordshire, OX29 5BB
As an HWRC Operative at FCC Environment, you will assist members of the public with the disposal of waste at our Household Waste Recycling Centre at Dix Pit. You will help ensure materials are sorted appropriately, operate site mobile plant when trained, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming site environment.
This vacancy is for a part time position, working 2 days per week.

What will you be doing?
•Assisting the public with waste disposal and offering a friendly welcome
•Sorting and moving waste into the correct areas or containers
•Enforcing traffic management and site safety practices
•Escorting visitors to asbestos containers when needed
•Undertaking basic maintenance on machines and mobile plant
•Maintaining good housekeeping and cleanliness of the site
•Ensuring site equipment is secured and shut down properly at the end of the day
•Reporting any safety hazards or near misses promptly
What are we looking for?
•No experience required, although experience in waste or similar sectors is a plus
•Completion of all relevant training as defined within the Training Matrix
•A team player with a polite and helpful manner
•Willingness to learn how to operate site mobile plant
•Health and safety minded, with good customer service skills
•Hardworking and reliable
