Wanaka Ski Team Coach
JOIN THE CARDRONA TEAM FOR WINTER 2026!
Our Wanaka Alpine Ski Team are looking for skilled coaches to join our dynamic crew for Winter 2026. Our winter season runs from June to October, so this position will start in June at the earliest.
If you're an expert in ski racing disciplines and have a passion for alpine coaching, this opportunity is for you!
As an Alpine Ski Coach, you will play a vital role in our Wanaka Ski Team (WST) programs. Your responsibilities will include providing high-quality coaching, guidance, and support to athletes, ensuring their safety, and maintaining professional relationships with various stakeholders.
This is a varied role, which encapsulates the following responsibilities within the High-Performance coaching position, to provide an elevated experience for our guests and athletes:
1. Group Coach
2. Private Coach
3. Stand-in Coach
4. Staff van driver
5. Snowsport School Instructor
6. On-and-off-snow administrative tasks
On occasion, there will be a requirement to travel with athletes to other ski areas as part of your coaching position.
Proven experience required include:
7. At least 3 years in a ski coaching role
8. Snowsport industry-specific coaching qualifications
9. Proven experience in coaching groups of various ages and skill levels
10. Advanced knowledge of coaching, training plans, relevant exercises, skill acquisition, development, technical requirements, and coaching methodologies
11. Knowledge of international training practices
