Salary Range: £56,641 - £70,929 Depending on experience plus benefits

We are seeking an experienced individual to join the Engineering Specialists team in a technical leadership role focused on specialist machining of challenging materials.
What you’ll be doing
* Setting up a new capability for NCC around complex machining of high density, high hardness and composite materials.
* Providing technical leadership on high profile defence, aerospace, and other sector projects.
* Building and leading a team to deliver customer delight and exceptional quality.
* Establishing and developing effective partnerships internally and externally with industry partners.
* Representing NCC in relevant technical forums and championing our technical strategy.
* Supporting the Chief Engineer & Head of Engineering in revising, formulating and creating the roadmap for novel and innovative approaches and pioneering technical solutions.
So, what are we looking for?
* Extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in complex machining of polymer and ceramic matrix composite materials and challenging metallics.
* Substantial experience in CAD/CAD to include CATIA, Siemens NX, Vericut and G‑Code.
* Proven track record in high value manufacturing and R&D environments.
* Experience of drafting technical requirements for bespoke machine tool acquisitions.
* Expertise in Defence applications and working in secure environments.
* Industrial prowess and strong network in this field.
* Technical leadership experience on complex multi-disciplinary projects.
* Excellent ability with communicational clarity at all levels.
