TheRole
The Area Manager isresponsible for ensuring the proper and effective operation of theretail business.
This role requires theindividual to oversee the daytoday work and operations of employeesto ensure adherence to organization guidelines.
The Area Managers will also take on humanresources duties including recruitment of new staff.
A key part of the role will be to develop andimplement operational standards.
Youwill be responsible for operations of Castore and team stores in anallocated area.
Responsibilities
Planningimplementing and monitoring the regional operational strategy
Accountable for maximising sales andprofitability
Evaluating existing operationsand developing appropriate strategies.
Trainingstore managers in effective sales and supervisorytechniques.
Creating and communicating salestargets at regular intervals.
Monitoring salesacross stores to check that quotas aremet.
Identify organizational or employeerelatedissues and create effective solutions Setting and implementingperformance standards across allstores.
Ensuring that employees observe companypolicies and procedures
Collaborating with othersenior managers to ensure that operations are consistent across theboard.
Traveling to stores to conduct yourduties onsite as needed.
Identify operationalbottlenecks and suggest solutions forimprovement
Create and deliver reports to seniorleadership team
Meet regularly with managedemployees to provide critical feedback andencouragement
Ensure compliance with thecompanys policies and operationalguidelines
Enhancing customer and clientrelationships through operationalexcellence
Skills &Qualities
Skillsand Experience:
Experience as a seniormanager or similar role within retailoperations
Proven leadership skills and theability to effectively manage others
Distinctcommunication skills to include a willingness to offer positive andconstructive feedback as needed
Excellentinterpersonal skills with a proven ability communicate acrossdifferent levels of an organization
Workingknowledge of basic computer operating systems such as WindowsMicrosoft suite
