Job Title: Clinical Coder
• To abstract and analyse complex clinical information and to assign codes using ICD10 and OPCS4, entering these codes into the trust’s PAS system.
• Work as a member of the clinical coding team with responsibility for coding allocated wards.
• When discharge summaries are incomplete, extract co-morbidities and relevant information from handwritten, complex medical notes, including histological results, to ensure specificity and completeness of diagnostic coding.
This role offers a 20% Recruitment and Retention premium.
The work location is negotiable and not limited to Ealing, with a hybrid working arrangement.
