Science Supply Teacher Our client secondary school in Durham is a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that values academic excellence and student development. We are looking to appoint a passionate and committed Science Supply Teacher on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and informative lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, maintaining consistency and quality in the absence of permanent teaching staff. This full-time role is set to begin in September 2025 and will continue for the right educator. The school is centrally located in Durham (DH1), with excellent access to public transport links. Staff also benefit from a large onsite car park for those commuting by car. Key Responsibilities: Deliver planned science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate a range of learning needs. Promote a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity. Attend staff meetings and contribute to department planning. Qualifications: A degree in a science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics). Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Prior experience teaching science at secondary level is essential. Excellent communication skills and a proactive teaching approach.
