Our client operates a large safety-critical industrial facility with >100 storage assets. With a strong turnover of over £100 million, they rent space to companies to store material in bulk quantities. Our client has a solid maintenance function with a supportive environment, and they are currently looking for a Health and Safety Supervisor to add to their team! Our client has a clear, structured plan to invest £10 million in upgrading their equipment, facilities and to make way for Continuous Improvement projects!
The Role
As a Health and Safety (SHEQ) Supervisor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Actively scanning for any health and safety issues on site, acting accordingly including investigating or even stopping work completely if unsafe
Work collaboratively with the Compliance Manager to identify which policies need to be updated in accordance with UK law
Ensure work is conducted in line with ISO 9001 and other key regulations
Supervise training and inductions relating to Permit to Work processes
Communicate enhanced internal SHEQ policies to all senior managers
About You
The ideal Health and Safety (SHEQ) Supervisor will have the following:
A recognised health and safety qualification
Experience working with a COMAH site is very beneficial, though not essential
A sound understanding of health and safety principles
A nature Continuous Improvement mindset
