The Opportunity As a successful BID Manager will manage the full bid lifecycle from qualification through contract award, ensuring the delivery of accurate, compelling, and competitive proposals. This role requires strong cross functional coordination, commercial acumen, and a commitment to building strong client relationships across the C&I sector. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end bid management for C&I solar EPC projects, overseeing tender analysis, proposal development, pricing, and final submission. Analyse technical, commercial, and contractual requirements to ensure fully compliant and competitive bids. Develop robust financial models, cost estimates, and commercial proposals to optimise profitability and manage risk. Coordinate cross-functional inputs from engineering, procurement, finance, construction, O&M, legal, and sales teams. Prepare comprehensive bid packages including technical documentation, financial submissions, schedules, and compliance materials. Conduct bid/no-bid evaluations aligned with strategic objectives, risk profile, and resource capacity. Serve as primary client contact during bidding, leading clarification meetings and contract negotiations. Manage and qualify the bid pipeline within CRM, maintaining accurate forecasts, deal stages, and revenue projections. Perform win/loss analysis and continuously improve proposal processes, templates, and competitive positioning. Provide regular reporting to senior management on bid progress, risks, pipeline health, and revenue outlook. Requirements: 3 - 7 years’ experience in bid management, proposal development, or commercial roles within solar EPC, renewable energy, construction, or related technical sectors. Proven track record of delivering successful bids for complex engineering or infrastructure projects. Experience engaging with commercial and industrial clients, consultants, and procurement stakeholders. Strong understanding of solar PV systems, EPC cost drivers, permitting, grid connection, and energy markets (desirable). Proficient in pricing models, cost estimation, commercial analysis, and financial forecasting. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation. Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Dynamics. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Strong organisational and project management abilities with capacity to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
