About the role
At Nationwide, we prioritize our members and aim to have every role contribute to this mission. Property Risk is a key part of our Risk Community, working closely with Chartered Surveyors and Solicitors on property and legal queries.
We seek an experienced leader to head our Property Risk team, responsible for desktop valuations and property risk policy decisions. You will support and coach colleagues, ensuring high customer service standards.
Our hybrid working model allows for at least two days per week at our Bournemouth office, with flexibility for part-time arrangements. Further details will be provided upon hiring.
Key responsibilities
* Lead a team in completing desktop valuations and property risk decisions.
* Handle legal and property-related matters impacting security properties.
* Collaborate with Chartered Surveyors and valuation suppliers to optimize outcomes.
* Coach and support team members and colleagues across the business.
* Communicate decisions clearly, using your industry knowledge and policy understanding.
* Proactively develop solutions and work collaboratively to resolve complex issues.
About you
* Proven leadership with experience managing high-performing teams.
* Experience in property valuations, underwriting, or risk management.
* Ability to assess risks and make decisions aligned with policy.
* Strong analytical skills to drive change and efficiencies.
