Overview
Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School is a two-form entryschool with a Nursery, educating children from aged 3 to 11.
We are looking for a teacher with experience of working with children with SEND. The role involves:
* Direct teaching of groups and individuals with SEND
* Planning for children with an EHCP
* Supporting teaching assistants working with children with an ECHP
* Developing our plans to set up an Internal Alternative Provision (IAP) and then leading this provision
This is an exciting role for someone with a passion for supporting children with SEND to succeed in a mainstream environment. There is the opportunity to help shape future provision for these children including the development of an IAP (specialist base). The SEND Teacher will be responsible for delivering and coordinating the daily teaching, planning, assessment and pastoral care for a small group of pupils with moderate learning needs across the school. He/she will work closely with the main school SENDCo as well as liaise with teaching assistants, class teachers, local authorities and external agencies to support the varying learning and pastoral needs of the pupils.
Contract and start
The role is offered on a part-time basis (mornings only) on a permanent contract. Start date 1 January 2026 (earlier start available). The salary is on the Main Pay Scale (inc. fringe) plus a SEND allowance of £1394 pa.

Selection process
The selection process for shortlisted candidates will be an interview and tasks, including a lesson observation.
