Fundraising Coordinator (Waqf)
The Waqf Fund is a newly established organisation founded by Human Appeal. The aim of this organisation is to raise fund for investment, invest the raised fund in Shariah compliant investment projects and utilise the profit to further the charitable objectives of The Waqf Fund.
The Waqf Fundraising Unit aims at marketing the Waqf products and services and raising funds for Waqf. The main function of the unit is establishing and sustaining strong relationships with individual and institutional donors as well as providing support to both HA Partners (including the Middle East and Emerging Markets) and field offices of Human Appeal.
Develop, manage and deliver a range of both regional and national fundraising and PR campaigns by working closely with the Waqf Manager to strategically lead and coordinate local and national fundraising activities, ensuring that all available FR opportunities are successfully exploited and maintained at agreed levels of return on investment.
Developing The Waqf Fund’s volunteer function. Devising new innovative fundraising opportunities, as well as more traditional events, is in line with strategy. To build awareness of The Waqf Fund projects and donor relationships. Increase income generation/donations year on year to secure the long-term financial sustainability and growth of The Waqf Fund in line with the fundraising strategy

Key duties and responsibilities of the Fundraising Coordinator (Waqf):
7. Contribute towards and implement the annual fundraising strategy for regional and national fundraising activities.
8. Take responsibility for managing and expanding the current fundraising programme to meet and exceed agreed targets, by achieving donation income growth, donor growth (Year-Over-Year) and meeting annual income targets.
9. Develop a strong fundraising portfolio to lead and support in-house FR teams during events.
10. Ensure local and national FR events are well supported, run effectively, and delivered regularly, whilst delivering Quality Assurance in line with Health & Safety, customer satisfaction, complaints management, and Fundraising Regulators code of conduct.
11. Increase quantity of volunteers and potential ambassadors.
What we’re looking for in Fundraising Coordinator (Waqf):
12. Minimum GCSE Mathematics, English. Ideally educated Education to degree level.
13. Minimum of 2 years in similar post, proven track record of project and events management with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
14. Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office, Social Media, Donor Management systems
15. English essential. Knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic/Urdu/Bengali/Gujarati/ Hindi/Punjabi an advantage.
