Engineering Specialist
Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis
HMS Sultan, Portsmouth
Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

What you'll be doing
* Delivering training to groups of up to 24 trainees in: Electrical or Electronic engineering and machine principles
* Conducting practical lab sessions, demonstrating key principles and supervising trainee experiments
* Marking and check-marking assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency
* Maintaining and updating training materials with Training Design staff
What we're looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* You will have at least a Foundation Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline), or an HND/FdSc in Electronic or Electric Engineering or proven teaching/practical experience in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Classroom experience in teaching technical subjects in an adult education environment,
* Level 4 teaching qualification
* Experience of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (or equivalent).

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata'd and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
