Position: Senior National Account Manager – Value Retail
Location: York (Hybrid working – approx. 2-3 flexible days a week in our office)
Compensation: Attractive Salary + car allowance
Position Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Senior National Account Manager within the Confectionery Value Retail Team. This high profile role will drive and accelerate our product portfolio for a key customer account. It is part of the Nestlé Sales Team, a collaborative and growth‑focused environment.
Your impact
As part of the Sales team, you will develop customer relationships and deliver profitable, sustainable growth through day‑to‑day management of the commercial plan. You will collaborate with the Customer Business Team and Category Development Team to deliver growth and market share.
* Develop and agree customer‑specific joint business plans (JBPs) to achieve Nestlé’s and the customer’s commercial goals.
* Own full P&L management and accountability including sales revenue, trade spend, market share and profit targets.
* Proactively manage the relationship between Nestlé and customers, unlocking opportunities.
* Build and develop effective relationships through an engaging, forward‑thinking contact strategy and cross‑functional teams.
* Co‑create and execute robust channel strategies, ensuring we have the tools to win.
* Provide all required inputs for the monthly business planning cycle.
* Oversee and ensure Nestlé Category and Marketing initiative plans are executed in store with Activation Managers.
* Work with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver results.
* Run promotional post‑evaluation and optimisation to drive ROI across key multiples.
* Deal with all day‑to‑day account issues effectively with a customer‑centric approach.
* Monitor industry and competitor activity to align strategic vision with market demands.
Your ingredients for success
* Extensive FMCG sales experience and a proven record of results.
* Strong negotiator capable of multi‑facet negotiations.
* Solid understanding of forecast planning, analytics and basic P&L statements.
* Customer‑centric mindset and ability to influence across levels.
* Curious, eager to develop Category Management skills.
* Knowledge of supply chain and demand‑planning principles.
* Bold, willing to think differently and embrace new ideas.
* Flexibility to adapt style in a dynamic environment.
