Head of Operations
Leading membership association seeks a highly talented and accomplished Head of Operations to oversee operations delivery of all their events and membership services.
Our client delivers a world-leading series of events, alongside an active research and policy agenda aimed at driving meaningful change and innovation. Their portfolio includes a powerful digital media presence and activities such as their flagship event, Awards, Webinars; CEO roundtables; Podcasts; and training sessions.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the operational delivery of all events and membership services across the business.
* Manage, monitor and report on cost budgets for events, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.
* Manage the operations team, setting clear expectations and driving success through hands‑on leadership.
* Design and optimise the end‑to‑end experience and attendee journeys for both digital and in‑person events.
* Develop and execute a memorable, market‑leading look and feel for events that accurately showcase brand and community.
* Ensure excellent customer‑service across all events.
* Project‑manage event and membership activities from start to finish, meeting client requirements, deadlines and budget targets.
* Establish and track key milestones and performance targets to support successful project delivery across the business.
* Manage key supplier relationships and external partnerships; identify opportunities, negotiate terms and meet budget and delivery objectives.
* Drive a client‑centric approach to support product innovation and improvement.
* Devise and implement planning and reporting processes across the business – identify and implement process improvements (reporting, meetings, recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, etc.).
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years’ experience managing large event operations (tradeshows, conferences, summits, awards, etc.).
* Proven track record of P&L ownership across event portfolios.
* Evidenced examples of delivering engaging and market‑leading customer journeys and experiences.
* Skilled in project management including leadership, planning and execution.
* KPIs and target setting to align teams and ensure progress for complex projects.
Location: Hybrid. Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 plus excellent benefits.
