Play It Forward – in house charity
Our founder and CEO also runs an in-house charity called Play It Forward (https://play-itforward.org/.We run regular events such as quiz nights, cake sales and sports days to raise money for the charity.There is also an annual trip to Southern Zambia to see the education, nutrition and health projects that the charity operates.
About You
A flexible all-round team player and self-starter, you will possess an outgoing positive and professional attitude combined with strong commercial, administration and time management skills. A first class communicator, you have the ability to recognise opportunities and implement sales strategies to achieve our ambitious sales objectives - your determination to succeed will clearly define you from your peers.
JOB PURPOSE:
* Look to establish DSD as the single combined source for booking all attractions, experiences in the trade market
* Increase trade sales within the specified catchment area to agreed target levels
* Initiate and follow-up all stages of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closure, in order to achieve or exceed established sales targets
* Identify new opportunities to increase sales and offer a positive ROI, and assist in selling these opportunities in to our key partners
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
* Establish and develop positive relationships with all retail partners in your area
* Educate, train and service the needs of key trade accounts
* Support your accounts by attending trade events including overseas conferences
* Ensure amonthly / quarterly call plan is in place in line with agreed sales objectives
* Maintain a close working relationship with the trade office team, and include them in your plans so that they can provide support with sales calls, training, road shows and consumer events
* Host FAM trips and entertain key accounts, whilst ensuring there is appropriate follow up to maximise all available sales opportunities
* Ensure that personal knowledge of DSD operations and product are of the highest standards and are kept up to date.
* Attend and support TIPTO roadshows within the specified catchment area and ensure follow up with all attendees
MANAGEMENT AND RELATIONSHIPS
* Engender a positive relationship with the trade team with constant inclusion / liaison over your accounts
* Maintain positive relationships with all internal departments, including Marketing, System Development and Operational teams.
·Contribute to positive external supplier relationships
* Attend quarterly sales meeting at our HQ in Brixton
SALES & REPORTING
* Achieve personal sales targets, in order to support the overall DSD budgeted sales and profit goals
* Provide a weekly sales report on your activity, successes, focus areas, and support requirements
* Ensure all agreed initiatives are authorised in advance and signed off by management
* Report accurately on expenditure incurred in undertaking the role and stay within agreed expense guidlines
TRADE ADVERTISING & PR
* Play a proactive role in shaping retail PR messaging by working in conjunction with our PR consultants and trade marketing teams
* Provide input and creative contribution to all marketing strategies and media including Facebook
* Collate and submit regular feedback on the market and trading conditions and opportunities
* Promptly disseminate all tactical activity, POS and sales collateral to maximise messaging and exposure

Criteria
* Flexible approach to working hours.There will be occasions where you will be required toworkaway from home for up to 5/7 nights.Events are often in the evening after working hours and at weekends

* Destination knowledge of Florida
* B to B sales experience and experience of working with travel agents
* Experience in presenting
* Experience using social media platforms and creating content e.g. TikTok videos
* Retailexperience
