About the Role
Join University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust as a Care Group Pharmacist for Women & Newborn. This key position is part of Division C (Family Health & Support Services) and will work closely with leadership and a dedicated team to shape the pharmacy service across Women’s Health, Maternity, Foetal Medicine and Neonatal care.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop evidence based treatment guidelines alongside specialist consultants.
* Strengthen interface working with primary care and community partners.
* Review and enhance maternity PGDs.
* Oversee high cost and specialist medicines, including homecare and outpatient pathways.
* Expand the pharmacist prescriber role within Women’s Health.
* Provide expert patient and carer education to support safe, confident medicines use.
* Teach and mentor pharmacists, students, midwives and wider MDT colleagues.
* Play an active role within the Division C pharmacy team and the wider pharmacy department.
* Engage in audit, research and conference presentations.
Required Experience & Skills
* A strong commitment to teamwork and excellent communication.
* Experience in Women’s Health.
* A passion for service development, innovation and high quality patient care.
