Senior Staff Nurse - Oncology (Bank)
Location: Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital, Brighton, UK
Pay: Up to £26.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but work on an ad‑hoc basis that suits the needs of the business and your availability.
Responsibilities
* Have a completed UKONS SACT passport.
* Be proficient in cannulation and venepuncture and able to access CVAD’s.
* Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring.
* Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be.
* Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs.
* Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care.
* Provide day‑to‑day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students.
* Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training.
Qualifications
You are registered with an appropriate governing body (e.g., NMC) and hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including post‑registration experience. You bring knowledge of mentoring and multi‑specialty surgical procedures. Ideally you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.
