Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an exceptionally motivated and dynamic individual to join our Northern Care Alliance NHS Group occupational health team. The role is primarily based at Salford but can cover all sites including Oldham, Bury, Rochdale and community settings; a car driver/owner is ideal.
The NCA occupational health service has SEQOHS accreditation, and the appointed candidate should be committed to maintaining high standards of quality and service to Trust and external clients. We are looking for applicants who are positive, self-confident, friendly, inquisitive and self-disciplined. The applicant will be offered the opportunity to undertake a qualification in occupational health and to develop skills in health surveillance.
Responsibilities
To assist in providing and developing a comprehensive proactive Occupational Health Service to Trust staff and income-generation clients. The post holder will:
* work within a team of occupational health professionals in a supporting role, providing needs-based occupational health services in line with good practice and current legislation.
* work unsupervised at times in the department and at company premises.
* be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the planning, implementation, and evaluation.
* participate in telephone reviews of new starters and give advice as deemed appropriate.
* maintain personal and professional development by participating in regular structured supervision sessions with a specialist OH Nurse.
* participate in effective utilisation of resources.
