Job Overview
We are recruiting band 5 Employment Specialists to support clients across Dorset in providing evidence‑based mental health employment support through the IPS model. Positions include 1 full‑time East Dorset role at Hahnemann House, 1 full‑time PAN Dorset role within the Community Rehabilitation team, and 2 30‑hour posts on Bridport and Wimborne community mental health teams.
Responsibilities
* Engage weekly face‑to‑face with local employers to proactively generate tailored job opportunities (including job carving) aligned with IPS principles.
* Work collaboratively with clients to identify employment goals, develop CVs and applications, and prepare for interviews.
* Support clients in discussing their mental health condition with potential employers, if they wish to disclose.
* Provide welfare benefits advice and calculations to help clients make informed employment decisions.
* Deliver ongoing in‑work support to clients and employers, ensuring sustainable employment outcomes.
* Adhere to IPS Fidelity Model quality and compliance standards, striving to meet or exceed KPIs.
* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in line with Service and IPS Fidelity Model requirements.
* Perform a high volume of administrative duties with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in reporting, documentation, and data entry.
Qualifications & Requirements
Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; the Trust will cover the cost. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check. Driving is essential; candidates must hold a full and valid UK driving licence and be able to travel using their own vehicle on Trust business.
