Job Title: Lead Technology Development Engineer

Salary: £54,793+ depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Engaging with internal and external customers and technologists to lead and drive the support technology strategy
* Capture of requirements and use cases that that will drive the need for innovation and technology exploitation to drive business benefit
* Identify funding opportunities across the business for research and developing exciting proposals for technology development programmes
* Generation of collaborative programmes, and identification of opportunities for funding, with key external partners, suppliers, SME’s
* Interface between BAE Systems and external research organisations on support technology research
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
* Knowledge and experience of digital technology development and approaches including utilisation of Cloud infrastructure
* Experience of technology capability insertion from concept through to deployment
* Highly collaborative, with a willingness to embrace innovative approaches and constructively challenge the status-quo
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
* Programming (e.g Python) experience
* Awareness of civil aircraft operations
* Knowledge/experience of working in a DevSecOps development framework
