Job Description
Currie & Brown is seeking ambitious and highly motivated Estimators (All Levels) to work on infrastructure projects for our clients across London.
Recently, Currie & Brown has expanded its portfolio of infrastructure delivery projects by securing prestigious engagements. We are now looking to connect with experienced, enthusiastic professionals to join our infrastructure team.
We require capable and experienced estimators with Rail and Aviation experience. The successful candidate will support our current team in managing workload, enhancing expertise, and delivering consistent cost planning and estimating services.
Responsibilities include:
1. Producing accurate cost estimates aligned with project scope and timelines in a consistent format.
2. Facilitating reliable comparison and benchmarking of project costs and performance.
3. Validating suppliers’ and contractors’ cost estimates accurately.
4. Developing efficient tools and processes for timely and standardized estimate production.
5. Creating estimate reports.
6. Preparing cost estimates during project execution to validate contractors’ forecasts and contract changes.
7. Providing specialized cost planning and estimating services following our rail clients’ governance procedures, including presenting reports for approval.
8. Supporting budget development, investment decisions, and cost reconciliation.
Requirements:
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
* Membership of RICS or an equivalent professional body.
* Experience in estimating and/or Quantity Surveying services.
* Extensive experience in rail, highways, or utilities sectors.
* Pre-contract experience.
* Understanding of project management, planning, risk, and investment processes.
* Knowledge of cost planning techniques during design development.
* Proficiency with unit cost modelling tools.
* Strong technical writing, client communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, and commercially aware.
* Team-oriented with a positive attitude, respectful, adaptable, and personable.
