Your new company
You will be joining an established and well-respected civil engineering contractor based in the Birmingham area. This multi-accredited contractor specialises in the delivery of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects within the water industry and offers a strong pipeline of AMP8 works as well as exposure to high-profile frameworks and bespoke projects. This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead performance across AMP8 projects while driving operational efficiency.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Birmingham office with the option for flexible working.
Your new role
As a Commercial Manager, you will drive forward the commercial and financial management of clean and waste water projects across the programme. You'll be trusted to work proactively, reporting into senior leaders on portfolio performance, advising project teams and helping to drive strategic plans.
Your day-to-day will include:
1. Leading the commercial management of projects, ensuring financial performance, value delivery and compliance with business targets
2. Heading subcontractor procurement and contract administration, from tender evaluation through to ongoing commercial oversight and performance management
3. Developing and implementing commercial strategies that maximise profitability and proactively mitigate commercial and contractual risks
