Self-Employed Personal Assistant for older Lady with Parkinson's in NR1, 14.5hrs weekly
We are looking for a kind, reliable, and compassionate female Personal Assistant to support a lady living with Parkinson’s. The aim of the role is to ensure her safety, dignity, comfort and independence at home.

Job Description
* Support with medication routines
* Assist with mobility and transfers (chair, bathroom, bed)
* Support with evening routines, personal care
* Help with light household tasks and meal/snack preparation
* Monitor symptoms such as freezing or dyskinesia
* Support short outings or appointments when needed
* Provide companionship, emotional support and reassurance
* Any other reasonable duties as requested
Person specification
* Essential: patience, compassion, positive attitude, and respectful approach
* Must understand the need for confidentiality in all areas of work, including total respect for privacy
* Applications are open to female applicants only due to the nature of the role and personal care aspects
* Desirable: previous experience in a similar role is preferred; flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs; training in moving and handling (or willingness to learn)
Summary of terms and conditions
* Pay: £13.50 per hour for employed PAs and £16.30 per hour for self‑employed PAs
* Hours and times of work: 14.5 hours per week; times discussed further at interview
* Annual holiday entitlement: Equivalent to the work normally expected to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks
* Post subject to: a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, covered by the employer; satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer; completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
