Job description
* The stress engineer is responsible for performing stress analysis of critical mechanical systems using RFEM 5 analysis software package, calcuations and producing stress analysis reports
Your profile
If you have the following profile, then we are looking forward to meeting you
* MEng / BEng / HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (preferred)
* Demonstrable experience as a Stress Engineer
* Knowledge and experience of perfoming seismic analysis of mechanical equipment (preferred)
* You have experience performing stress analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software programs (Ansys, abaqus, nastran). Experience with RFEM 5 is prefferred.
* Experience with the application of design to ASME and BS EN ISO standards
* Experience with the application of design to RCC-M (preferred)
* Experienced with the production and/or having input to techncial specifications, basis of design, design risk assessments, labour estimates, scopes of work, calculations, stress reports, drawings and schedules
* You plan and organise your activities before you start spending hours. You understand the dependencies of the engineering activities within the mechanical and piping discipline
* You have a ‘one time right’ mentality
* You have a strong understanding of engineering change control procedures
* You can develop and effectively present design packages, ensuring it meets the scope of the job
* Able to meet UK security clearance requirements (SC Clearance Preferable)
