Based in the Herefordshire village of Much Marcle, Westons Cider is an independent cider-making company, making premium award-winning ciders since 1880.
We are currently recruiting for a strategic Head of Logistics and Supply Chain to join the business on a full time, permanent basis.
As Head of Logistics and Supply Chain, you will play a key part in the implementation of the business strategy and growth, driving continuous improvement programmes, focusing on cost reduction, service level improvements and optimising operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities include;
* Overseeing warehousing, distribution and supply chain team operations, ensuring operations are in alignment with business goals.
* Managing warehousing, distribution and supply chain budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting.
* Overseeing inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure the timely delivery of goods to production and customers.
* Driving sustainability and net zero initiatives across supply chain, distribution and warehousing.
* Management of stock control and finished goods at various locations.
* Collaborating with sales, production, purchasing and customer service departments to align distribution, warehousing and supply chain operations with company objectives.
* Building high-performing teams, managing succession planning, and lead talent development across distribution, warehousing and supply chain functions.
* Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Food Safety, and Regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills/experience/ qualifications:
* Excellent knowledge of logistics, warehouse management and supply chain functions.
* 5+ years' experience (or equivalent) in leading cross functional teams preferably in a senior management or strategic role.
* Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage and drive operational transformation.
* Computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
* Experience of working in an FMCG environment and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous.
