A vacancy has arisen within our team at Drax Power Station for a Mitigant Operator- to support our site Mitigant operations.
Hargreaves Industrial Services provide a varied Operations and Maintenance service to our client at Drax Power Station. We handle, maintain, and reclaim materials including FBA, Coal and Mitigant Slurry whilst managing material stocks and transportation using a wide range of Mobile Plant.
The role briefly encompasses the following:
1. Operating Mixers to transport Mitigant slurry to the production area as per the requirements of the power station.
2. Completing regular inspections of the plant and pipework & report any defects, blockages etc.
3. Carrying out cleaning duties within the plant areas as directed by the supervisor.
4. Carrying out any other reasonable instruction required to ensure the smooth operation of the site as directed by the supervisor.
5. Completing all associated check sheets for both mobile & static plant.
6. Promoting and maintaining a positive attitude towards safety, compliant with Hargreaves and Drax’s safety rules.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/ attributes:

9. Flexible approach to work and punctual.
10. Loading Shovel Experience preferable – but not essential.
11. Ideally candidate will have experience operating heavy mobile plant but not essential as training will be provided.
Due to the health and safety risks associated with this working environment, all individuals must comply with face fitted dust mask rules. In order to do so individuals must be clean shaven at all times when on site.
