Job Title: Community Maths and English Tutor
We are seeking a dedicated Community Maths and English Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment that complies with the quality standards of our Lifelong Learning Service. The course delivery will include a range of non-accredited and accredited courses at pre-entry/entry levels up to Level 2 functional skills in a community setting, including English and Maths courses.
Responsibilities
1. Create courses and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and relevant resources for accredited and non-accredited courses.
2. Complete all administrative tasks, including registers, learner agreement forms, risk assessments, and records for the teaching and learning file in line with Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA).
3. Assess and mark learners' work according to qualification standards.
4. Provide ongoing individual/group assessment to support learning, achievement, and progression.
5. Ensure individual learner needs are met, and their progress is monitored, recorded, and reflected in lesson planning.
Qualifications and Skills
* Relevant subject qualification at level 5 or equivalent.
* Teaching qualification.
* Excellent organizational skills to deliver teaching online and face-to-face within the Post 19 sector, with experience in the English curriculum area.
